The Last Jedi’s ending in 16 bits is even nerdier than Star Wars itself


Spoiler warning: I mean, obviously.

If Star Wars is the epitome of nerd culture, then John Stratman’s 16-bit rendition of The Last Jedi’s finale has created a paradigm shift. The 5-minute clip shows the scene where Luke Skywalker squares up to the First Order on that weird, red salt pan.

If you loved the 90s Nintendo games, then you’ll love this, especially the middle bit where it goes static. Ah, good ol’ low resolution graphics with pixelated music to match.

Congrats, Mr Sunday Times. You probably started a new trend.
